Dr. Tehrani has contributed to 10 books, nearly 80 papers and reports, and presented nearly 100 papers and posters. His work in sustainable and resilient structural engineering, mechanics, and materials (SR-SEMM) spans structural analysis and design, earthquake resistance, construction, road and bridge design, and project management. His patented Sliding Foundation System with Safety Margin has been applied in construction, demonstrating innovation in seismic isolation.
As a seasoned engineer, Dr. Tehrani has overseen the design of 50+ structures, managed projects worth nearly $150 million, and secured research funding nearing $700k from sources including NSF and DOT.
Fariborz is an ASCE Fellow and active member of ACI, EMI, ASTM, and EWB, contributing to committees such as ACI 213/130/301 and ASTM C09/C12/C15. He serves as Director of ESCSI and liaises for EMI with ASCE COS, while also holding editorial roles with SAGE journals and reviewing for ACI, ASCE, and other major publications.
