Location: Arlington, TX When The Green at College Park was being developed, heavily compacted clay soils blocked the site’s ability to store, filter and clean water. A new soil mix was created using one part expanded shale, one part compost, one part native soil and two parts sand. This allowed for better infiltration, cleansing, and filtering of the storm drainage.
